Exactly a quarter of the last century back in the year 1996, a suave Gujarati young entrepreneur Mr. Vinod Karia, with profound dream of establishing a successful venture in electrical products industry with meagre financial resource has setup a small trading unit within the traditional electric business hub in Kolkata. “PREETI PLAST” being the name chosen for the business to be identified as the seller of most commonly used PVC/plastic derivatives in wide range to cater to domestic and industrial applications of electrical wirings, connections and illuminations etc. The first item under the brand “PREETI PLAST” was PVC based 3×3 variant square box.

Relentless hard work, resilience and a zeal to grow has culminated to the formation of ‘MAA VAISHNO PREETI PLAST PVT.LTD.’ of today, possessing four full fledged manufacturing units ( three in West Bengal and one in Maharashtra) employing around 400 people with uninterrupted operations rolling out over six hundred individual items viz. wiring pipes and casings, PVC based non metallic and metallic switch boards of all varieties, high quality switches and accessories, switchgears and MCBs etc. The lighting products division has got entire range of latest technology based LED range with luminaries. The total range constitutes 750 nos. of products available on sale. It has now become a company of two generations headed by professional management overseeing manufacturing & quality control, distribution & logistics, marketing etc. The second generation control has been bestowed on Mr. Samir Karia, designated as Managing Director of the company to oversee the functional aspects (domestic and overseas) on day to day basis under stewardship of his father Mr. Vinod Karia as Chairman of the company.

The company has since been pioneering PVC and metal based electrical products with continuous addition of new innovative items viz. switches and accessories, MCB range and luminaries to offer complete band of electrical items for domestic and industrial use.
